1. General information on data processing

1.1. Processing of Personal Data for Contract Fulfillment Purposes:

washmee processes personal data exclusively to the extent necessary for establishing, providing, and managing the contractual relationship with customers, as well as for billing purposes. This includes the domain name, the names and addresses of the domain owner, the administrative and technical contact persons, and the zone administrator. Additionally, the telephone and fax numbers, as well as the email addresses of the technical contact person and the zone administrator, are stored. If the customer commissions washmee to connect a domain on their behalf, we require their date of birth. Finally, we use your information to improve our internet platform and our services, to prevent or detect misuse, in particular fraud, or to enable third parties to perform technical, logistical, or other services (package deliveries), such as external printing companies, for printed materials (e.g., your business cards) on our behalf. Any use of personal data is exclusively for the aforementioned purposes and to the extent necessary to achieve these purposes. The data will not be used for advertising or market research purposes. Contact Form: If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided, will be stored by us for processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent. Newsletter Data: If you wish to subscribe to any newsletter offered on the website, we require your email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not share it with third parties. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data, your email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example, via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

1.2. Legal basis for the processing of personal data.

Article 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis insofar as washmee obtains the data subject's consent for the processing of personal data. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR serves as the legal basis insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party. The same applies to processing operations that are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. Article 6(1)(c) GDPR serves as the legal basis insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which washmee is subject. Article 6(1)(d) GDPR serves as the legal basis insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person. Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f) GDPR serves as the legal basis insofar as the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of washmee or a third party and there are no overriding interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

1.3. Data Erasure and Storage Period

The personal data of the data subject will be erased or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Storage may also occur if this is provided for by European or national legislation in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which washmee is subject. Data will also be blocked or erased when a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned regulations expires, unless further storage of the data is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract.

2. Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files

Each time the washmee website is accessed, the system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing device. The following data is typically collected: • Information about the browser type and version used • The user's operating system • The user's internet service provider • The user's IP address • Date and time of access. The log files contain IP addresses or other data that could potentially identify the user. This data is also stored in the system's log files. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user's computer. For this purpose, the user's IP address must be stored for the duration of the session. Storage in log files is carried out to ensure the functionality of the website. Furthermore, the data serves to optimize the washmee website and to ensure the security of the systems. The data is not used for advertising, customer service, or market research purposes. The storage of data and log files is based on Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) of the GDPR. We use the "Do not generate log files" setting. In the case of data collection for the provision of the website, this occurs when the respective session ends. In the case of data storage in log files, this occurs after a maximum of seven days. Further storage is possible. In this case, the users' IP addresses are deleted or anonymized so that it is no longer possible to identify the requesting client. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files are essential for the operation of the website. Consequently, users have no right to object.
